If location is king, then those who visit Restaurant Teatro will feel as though they are among royalty. Located centrally on the Promenade, the restaurant is in the happening and tourist-friendly part of the city, surrounded by numerous other dining establishments.

A lively place to dine, Restaurant Teatro features both indoor and outdoor seating and an extensive menu of Italian food. The décor inside is reminiscent of a scene directly out of Italy, and calls upon its name, evoking the style of an old Italian theater.

Specialties include the Caprese salad and bruschetta appetizer, pasta dishes such as gnocchi, tortellini, penne and spaghetti, meats of all kinds, and, of course, pizza. For dessert, the tiramisu is not to be overlooked.

The drink menu also includes a variety of white, red and rosé wines, which can be paired accordingly with the plates. For those uncertain of which wine to choose to accompany a meal, employees at Restaurant Teatro are some of the friendliest and most accommodating servers in the area, and will be more than happy to make a recommendation. The bar also offers a small selection of beer and aperitifs. When it comes to beer we would recommend a Carlsberg or a Holsten.

Restaurant Teatro is located at Promenade 19/21, close to the Neue Mitte station. Nearby are the Franziskaner Restaurant and Königs bar, among many others. The restaurant is open beginning at noon every day, and closes its doors at 11:30 p.m. on all nights, except Friday and Saturday, when it remains open until 1 a.m.
