Milagro (Bergmannstr. 12, 10961 Berlin, Berlin, Germany)
Milagro (which means “miracle” in Spanish) is a restaurant and café
that has been in existence since 1990 – a neighborhood staple if you
will. Situated in the Kreuzberg neighborhood of Berlin, it offers hot
meals throughout the day and a large selection of drinks.
Breakfast service begins at 9 a.m. and lunch picks up at noon, with
both continuing until 5 p.m. Afterward, dinner is available until
midnight, when the kitchen closes. Be certain to check out the daily
specials.
Breakfasts are namely location-themed, with choices ranging from a
Berlin, Amsterdam or Paris meal, to an Andorra, Oxford or New York
specialty. There is even a Kreuzberg breakfast, with tomatoes,
scrambled eggs, Turkish ham, goat cheese, olives, basil, fruits and
assorted bread.
Hot meals include soups like tomato and minestrone, salads, pastas
(Italian tortellini and cannelloni or the more German choice of
spätzle and maultaschen), pizzas, and meats ranging from chicken to
beef. There also seems to be a bit of Schwäbisch tinge to the culinary
options.
People packing less of an appetite can choose from bruschetta,
mozzarella, hummus or a cheese plate as mini meals, or the dishes can
serve as starters for a hungry crowd. Menu items also rotate
regularly, as the kitchen at Milagro mixes in seasonal offerings with
the standard fare.
The wine list includes reds and whites alike from Germany, France,
Italy and Spain, ranging in price from 13,50 to 27,50 Euro. Beers also
feature on the menu, including Pilsner Urquell or Warsteiner Pils for
2,30 Euro and Weizenbier König Ludwig for 3,50 Euro.
Guests can choose from 100 places to sit inside, and during the
summer, can also relax on the outside patio with a glass of wine and
cigarette.
Milagro is located at Bergmannstr. 12 in Kreuzberg, and near to
Zyankali Bar.
It’s closest to U-Bahn stations Mehringdamm on the U6 line and
Gneisenaustrasse on the U7 line.
