Kölschbar (Linden str. 56, Köln, Germany)

True to its name, Kölschbar serves up cold drinks in Cologne just as it should, offering 0,2 liter servings of the city’s speciality Kölsch brew for 1,50 Euro a pop. But Kölsch is not the only beer available, and Hamburg natives should also feel at home, with the choice to drink Astra instead.

Also in true tradition, Sunday evenings find the bar airing the most recent episode of the popular German program “Tatort.” But those who attend should make certain to brush up on their crime show knowledge, as Tatort-related quizzes also take place.
At any other time, thanks to a Sky television subscription, the local soccer games are shown. Whether it’s Bundesliga, UEFA, or national teams playing one another, the bar is a good place to go to catch the game and participate in a spirit of camaraderie, or one of friendly rivalry.
