Anyone who wouldn’t expect a Mexican cantina and cocktail bar located
in Germany has obviously never been to Johnny Canone. Fun is the name
of the game at this restaurant and bar, which prides itself on hosting
great parties and offering a multitudinous selection of hybrid
cuisines.

The menu offers items and entrees in Spanish, with onion and chicken
soups for starters. Chicken, Mexican and mozzarella are just a few of
the salad selections. Guests with smaller appetites can order nachos
with the choice of cheese or chili, while the hungrier patrons can
choose from tacos, burritos, chimichangas and quesadillas filled with
chicken, beef or vegetables. Every Wednesday, specialty fajitas are
available for only 3 Euros.

There are also Mexican twists on German classics, such as currywurst
or schweineschnitzel, Mexican-style. The menu offers burgers,
sandwiches and wraps, and there are pasta standards and a variety of
meat dishes for those who are less adventurous in their culinary
exploits.

The drink menu has sodas, juices, coffees, teas and shakes. From the variety of beers we would suggest you a Carlsberg or the Carlsberg Bierbrett- you pay 10 you take 9- . Aperitifs, digestifs, and liqueurs can accompany meals, and there is no shortage of hard alcohols. Naturally, tequila centers on the drink menu, available either as shots or in a variety of specialty
cocktails and long drinks.

Located at Hohestr. 5, Johnny Canone is open daily at 5 p.m. Outdoors
is a beer garden with seating for 150 at tables and lawn chairs, and
this is where the party can often be found. Of interest to some is the
fact that Johnny Canone also claims that more than half of its patrons
are women.
