Bierhaus 100 (Krankenhäger Str. 8, Rinteln, Germany)

Bierhaus 100 is not just a bar. While it’s true that the business takes on the aesthetic form of an old traditional beer hall, the experience amounts to so much more. Bierhaus 100 is – as its name states – a place where those who pass through the doors can choose to taste 100 different kinds of beers from around the world, which can be enjoyed in the moment or saved for a later occasion.

The menu features beer from the continents of Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Australia, ranging in taste from sweet fruit-infused beers to darker beers with higher alcoholic content. Of course, in addition to beer, there is also a selection of nearly 100 cocktails, long drinks, and hard alcohols.

As for the food, there are various snacks to pair with beer, ranging from tortilla chips and pretzels, to fries served in a variety of ways, baked cheeses, and schnitzel.

In warmer weather, guests can make themselves at home in the adjoining beer garden, which prides itself on creating a genuine Bavarian feel. Bierhaus 100 is also the place to be when football games take place, as the bar opens its doors for patrons to meet up and root for their teams. These viewings take place in an adjacent barn.

There is also a shop where visitors can compile gift packages full of a variety of beers, or purchase other brew-related memorabilia. For those who can’t make it in person, the website features an online shop.

Bierhaus 100 is located at Krankenhäger Str. 8, near to the Rintel City Hall, and opens daily at 6 p.m. Due to its central location, close to the Weser River, it is within walking distance of many restaurants and bars, such as the Turkish restaurant Gaststätte Sabits Eck, as well as the pub Gaststätte Zur Schildkröte.
